The team
Financial Controlling and Analysis (FC&A) Tower is part of Global Business Operations and provides oversight on financial activities and controls including general accounting, management and external reporting and financial planning and analysis. The tower is responsible for the interpretation of financial and statutory data, the coordination and management of financial and statutory reporting, the management of the P&L and balance sheet delivering solutions that will increase insight and transparency.
The role
The Financial Controlling Lead Analyst will support the team members with technical related questions and issues, also support people in different functions such as tax, group accounting when it comes to financial controlling, technical accounting matters.

Main responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth and accurate month-end closes, including journal entry preparation and supporting the reconciliation process (e.g., accounting mentorship and ensuring accurate backup information in alignment with PCAOB requirements)
  • Timely and accurate submission of financial, statutory, and ESG reports; supervise the statutory adjustment and transfer pricing process
  • Partner with the RTR team, FP&A, and market teams to ensure the legal entity financial statements accurately reflect our business operations
  • Support decision-making processes with various financial controlling analyses
  • Ensure that policies and procedures are understood and followed within the team; act as an advisor to other GBO group function teams
  • Ensure that financial, statutory, and ESG processes are undertaken accurately, efficiently, on time, and that surrounding control procedures are strictly adhered to in line with internal (CARM) and external requirements
  • Understand, interpret, and implement Group Accounting and Reporting as well as ESG reporting requirements; communicate these requirements to the Financial Control team and relevant teams in GBO.
  • Support the FAC process by providing analysis for its completion.

About you

  • Degree educated in relevant finance / accounting/ business
  • Qualified accountant
  • 4-5 years’ experience in relevant area
  • Experience working within an international / multicultural environment
  • Outstanding Risk Management (Internal Controls, Managing Risk, Embedding Compliance & Ethics)
  • Strong Financial Controlling knowledge (Balance sheet, Group and Local Financial Reporting, Accounting principles)
  • Strong analytical skills to be able to see and understand the big picture and deliver high level message, offering solutions for issues
  • Proficient English knowledge
  • ESG reporting related experience is an advantage
