  • full geographical coverage to provide a global view of processes and data, and operationally efficient financial processes, with automated routine tasks.

System set-up and financial master data form the backbone for Valmet’s accounting and reporting. Financial Reporting & Master Data team is responsible for creation and maintenance of fundamental financial structures and key master data to ensure correct legal company set-up, coding of financial dimensions and structures. We are looking for an experienced Financial Data Analyst with great collaboration skills, ability to work well under pressure, identify critical topics and create positive atmosphere.
The working location can be any of our major locations in Jyväskylä, Tampere or Järvenpää. Valmet is building a completely new, shared office building in the Tikkurila district of Vantaa for its employees currently working in Järvenpää and some of its employees currently working in Hakkila, Vantaa. We will move into the new offices in early 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for financial master data management (e.g. CoA, dimensions, currencies and rates, tax codes, cross validation rules)
  • Manage ERP integrations and maintaining financial mappings
  • Be in charge of system set-up and development in financial accounting and reporting
  • Drive financial master data sanity and cleaning
  • Identify and understand requirements and gaps in solutions and effectively conduct change management.
  • Work closely with Business Finance and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Senior specialist in own area
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Previous working experience within financial reporting and master data
  • Capabilities to work independently and solve or escalate identified issues
  • Self-motivated drive to fulfill requirements and meet timelines
  • Ability to identify critical topics and process issues where necessary
  • Good communication skills and ability to operate efficiently within own network.
  • Good written and spoken English competence, other languages are an advantage
