The Financial Epic Reporting Analyst will lead reporting and analytic projects that promote data-driven decision making and a culture of analytics throughout the organization. This position will create analytics content for end users with Epic Cogito reporting and analytics tools including but not limited to Radar Dashboards, Reporting Workbench and SlicerDicer. This individual will leverage subject matter expertise in clinical workflows as well as knowledge of the cancer care domain to enable Fred Hutch to improve patient outcomes, patient experience quality of care, and operational efficiency

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues across the clinical enterprise to understand data needs, develop reporting and analytics, identify key insights, and present findings to a variety of audiences.
  • Facilitate discussions with key partners to develop requirements for data, reports, analyses, and data visualizations.
  • Perform data discovery on complex data sources (especially EMR data) to understand data, evaluate impacts of work flows, and ensure accurate use of data in analyses.
  • Use SQL or other data management tools to compile, integrate and structure datasets for efficient and meaningful analysis.
  • Develop data solutions, including: curated datasets, ad hoc and recurring reports, performance dashboards, descriptive and diagnostic analyses, analytics support for projects, and summaries of key findings.
  • Develop subject matter expertise to better understand and anticipate the needs of our key partners – including oncology patient populations, cancer program services and offerings, clinical operations, quality of care goals and metrics.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to growing our analyst community and organizational capabilities by sharing key learnings and promoting data and analytics with business partners.
  • Clearly communicate and explain analytics methodology and development approach for work products to a variety of audiences, includes providing technical and business documentation to ensure robust understanding of data and analytics solutions.
