The Position
Responsibilities:
- Lead the resolution of complex technical IFRS accounting matters based on IFRS and the Roche Group accounting manual and support the Roche finance community listed above
- Provide transaction support and be the Finance representative in mergers & acquisitions, divestments and debt offerings projects
- Lead the implementation of new IFRS and other reporting standards and updating the Group accounting manual as necessary
- Support the preparation of the Roche Group’s year-end and half-year external IFRS consolidated financial statements
- Lead/support the completion of the half-year and year-end IFRS financial statements for the bonds issuers within Roche Group
- Lead large projects such as Pillar Two taxation and other accounting projects which have a significant impact on Roche Group
- Lead and facilitate the Roche Diploma in Accounting training together with other members of the team or network as well as updating the related training materials
- Ensure the operation of an effective internal control system
- Identify and implement process improvements on a timely basis
- Providing coaching and development to other members of the team to develop their IFRS expertise and problem solving skillse
