Description:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: (1) Analyzing financial transactions, accounts, and/or reports to identify potential financial management problems, such as spend plans or unfunded requirements; (2) Coordinating with program managers and/or customers to ensure quality control review of processes and certification of fund availability to support Statement of Budgetary Resources audit; (3) Providing technical advice involving regulatory requirements and statutory policies; AND (4) Developing detailed reports to provide technical guidance on resolving problem areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality control review of processes and/or certification of availability of funds to support Statement of Budgetary Resources audit.
  • Analyze data from various systems to assist leaders in making appropriate financial decisions.
  • Conduct in-depth research to provide interpretation of applicable guidelines and/or regulations with proposed alternatives for resolution.
  • Prepare and/or present briefings on various financial policies as well as participate in meetings at all levels of the organization.
  • Resolve negative unliquidated obligations, suspense lines, abnormal balances, cost overruns, unmatched transactions, unmatched disbursements, etc., and provide technical guidance to applicable budget analyst for action.
