Our Finance Operations team is seeking a rockstar Financial Operations Analyst, AR to join our team in the Calgary office. You will be a motivated self-starter with excellent teamwork skills and the ability to get involved where needed. You will be an integral part of the operations team by assisting with all types of client requests that relate to finance, special projects and day to day operational activities while demonstrating attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Manage and implement all customer payment activities, including receiving, processing, and applying payments to accounts
- Optimize financial transactions and systems by reconciling payments and customer accounts
- Communicate discrepancies to management, identify slow-paying customers, and recommend collection candidates
- Strengthen client relationships by discussing past-due accounts with customers
- Streamline the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for improvement
- Maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records, ensuring credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and discrepancies are adjusted
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via phone and email
- Prepare analytical and ratio analyses to provide management with insights into collection efforts
- Document processes and create/update comprehensive job aids for Financial Operations Oracle processes
- Communicate key issues with leaders across functional areas and participate in resolution efforts
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement with a focus on enhancing the client experience
