Navitas is seeking to employ a Financial Planning Analyst to join our North American team in Burnaby, BC. This position is a 12 month contract.
Reporting to Director, Business Planning and Analysis, the Analyst will join the growing Corporate Services Team and support all business planning activities for Navitas’ operations in North America. This includes supporting month end financial reporting, conducting industry research, and the preparation of presentation materials for both internal and external stakeholders. This position will also help advance market forecasting tools and in-depth research reports. Along with other team members, the position will have the opportunity to work closely with multiple stakeholders including senior executives.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Mathematics or Statistics.
  • Minimum of 1+ years’ experience in a related role.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet critical deadlines under pressure.
  • Able to navigate through both internal and external information sources and develop concise presentations based on large and complex datasets.
  • High degree of computer literacy, including proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with members in different locations and time zones.
  • Legal right to work in Canada.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts

Desirable Skills

  • Understanding of data analysis tools such as Python, R, Excel, or Power BI to effectively analyze, manipulate and visualize data.
  • In pursuance of a financial designation (CPA, CFA etc.) or will be an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Support other Business and Financial Analysts in the preparation of financial presentation materials for the Executive Leadership Team on a monthly basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for quarterly board meetings.
  • Collect market data and help the preparation of periodical industry research for senior management team in North America.
  • Support deep dive industry analyses and prepare materials for both internal and external stakeholders including government officials.
  • Support the development of new forecasting tools to help drive recruitment strategy.
  • Other duties as required.
