We have an exciting opportunity to join the Fund Accounting and Reporting team. The team is responsible for monitoring the quality of the outsourced administration across the abrdn Open Ended Funds. This includes the production monitoring and oversight of Annual and Interim Financial Statements, monthly Fund reporting and Fund projects.
About the role
We are currently looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Fund Accounting and Reporting team. You will get the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge through working across the abrdn Open Ended Funds area.
You will get the opportunity to be a part of coordinating and reviewing financial statements and reports along with completing any monthly or quarterly Client and Group Reporting. Within this role you will be able to develop your experience and knowledge and will be get great exposure across abrdn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight of various Open Ended Funds
  • To co-ordinate and review financial statements and co-ordinate the signing and distribution of financial reports (including multi language versions) including liaison with auditors, compliance, Trustees/ Depositaries, Boards, Legal, Management Company, Fund Managers and Regulators.
  • Assist with technical accounting developments to ensure funds comply with appropriate accounting standards.
  • To complete any monthly and quarterly Client and Group Reporting as required.
  • To answer and delegate Open Ended Fund queries as they arise.

About the candidate requirements

  • Currently working towards or interested in a accountancy qualification
  • University degree, preferably in a numerical discipline
  • Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines
