We are currently looking for a Financial Reporting Accountant on a one year fixed term contract in our Financial and Regulatory Reporting unit (the FRR).
The FRR is responsible for all internal and external reporting to Group companies as well as industry regulators and is also responsible for expense management and analysis. The unit reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
The team is made up of a diverse and experienced group of Chartered Accountant’s passionate about quality and excellence in delivery. All members work closely together as one team and rotate tasks between them to ensure exposure and experience in all aspects is gained by each team member. This position reports into the Operational Manager for Reinsurance Controlling.

Responsibilities:
- Monthly, quarterly and annual submissions to the Prudential Authority and SARB under IFRS 17
- IFRS 17 Group reporting of quarterly numbers including actuals and forecast
- Preparation of actual, forecast and planning trial balances under IFRS 17
- Quarterly analysis of IFRS 17 trial balance
- Board and audit committee presentation preparation
- Preparation of the AFS - IFRS 17
- Co-ordination of quarterly analysis and reconciliation of FPSL data for IFRS 17 reporting purposes
- Assistance with the audit and various audit querie
