In addition to launching exciting new clean energy products and services, we’re a national leader in community solar and provide solar developers, utilities, and municipalities with a technology and services platform to manage their clean energy program offerings.
In this position you will be working closely with our billing and operations teams to help with financial analysis, reporting as well as various accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be an early to mid-career financial analyst with an interest (and ideally experience in) the clean energy industry. Having a can-do attitude and being a comfortable communicator as well as enjoying the challenges of start-up life are also important.
We are a mission driven, 100% employee-owned company that’s growing rapidly. We work out of a fantastic co-working space located in midtown Manhattan, and support remote, hybrid, and in office work environments with many employees choosing to go into the office a couple days each week. Although we are open to remote candidates, very strong preference will be giving to people local to the NYC region for this role.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our Operations team in the monthly billing of community solar customers across our portfolio of projects.
- Analyze billing results and history.
- Create accounts receivable reports.
- Identify workflow changes to achieve operating efficiencies to improve overall customer experience.
- be an early to mid-career financial analyst with an interest or ideally experience in the clean energy industry.
- Develop reporting tools to effectively communicate monthly billing results across the portfolio.
- Establish policies and controls for every billing and collection procedure to ensure that systems and procedures are being followed.
- Effectively communicate with both internal staff and external customers and clients.
Qualifications
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
- 1 – 5 years (or more) of experience.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, with proficiency in PivotTables, Macros and Charts.
- Proficiency with Google tools such as Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
- Ability to think creatively to help streamline operations
- Passion for analyzing data and identifying patterns
- Experience with electronic billing and remittance.
- Experience with Authorize.net, Stripe, or other payment platforms.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills in building relationships at all operational levels.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills is a must.

Salary
Highly competitive salary in the $65,000 to $80,000 range or commensurate with experience.
