Responsibilities:

Do you want to immerse yourself in the financial operations of an exciting and growing FinTech? Are you keen to get involved with reconciliation and analysis to ensure the finance function of the business runs smoothly?
We are looking for a driven and agile Financial Reporting Manager to join our growing Finance team.
As Financial Reporting Manager you will be managing the Financial Reporting team, responsible for the internal and external financial reporting requirements for the group, and subject matter expert on accounting issues. This role has oversight of the financial ledgers to ensure that transactions are appropriately captured under appropriate accounting standards.

This is a role that can influence change as well as improve reporting processes and controls, and manage a team of accountants to improve the consistency and accuracy of accounting analysis.

  • Manage and review of key areas in the month end accounting for financing and holding companies, managing workflows and meeting SLAs.
  • Maintain oversight of the group ledgers to ensure all group entities have reconciled position in a controlled environment.
  • Ownership of securitisation accounting with exposure to IFRS 16,IFRS 9, and UK GAAP reporting.
  • Ownership Tax computation including quarterly VAT and monthly Corp tax provision and annual tax reports, maintain and updates working knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including new filing practices, deadlines, and any company-specific information.
  • Ensure monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation is substantiated accurately, flag and resolve deficiencies in timely manner.
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts for group and subsidiaries to IFRS or UK GAAP.
  • Engage auditors and manage the execution of the audit. Maintain oversight of audit issues arising to ensure timely resolution.
  • Managing and coaching a team of part-qualified accountants, ensuring that knowledge and support are offered to develop team member performance.
