Qualification and Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • 5 years of finance experience within the General Insurance industry.
  • Working with 3rd party vendors.
  • Technical proficiencies and familiarity with relevant software tools and policy admirative systems.
  • Knowledge of databases, SQL queries and data analytics

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to analyse and integrate information.
  • Be able to identify gaps or inefficiencies.
  • Technical skills related to systems and digital initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Training abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Vast knowledge of General Insurance.
  • Familiarity with insurance products, regulations and operating processes is essential

Responsibilities:

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Managing and optimizing the systems and processes that supports the General Insurance operating entities from an operations space for finance processing. Pivotal in driving efficiencies and enhancing productivity. Assist the GI operating entities to understanding and navigate general insurance and the systems used.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE?

  • Train operating entities to navigate the systems to follow existing and new processes and provide the teams with general insurance finance knowledge.
  • Determining the effectiveness of existing processes.
  • Establishing and maintaining quality standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Identifying operational requirements and opportunities for improvement.
  • Gathering information by observing processing in the PAS and analysing the system data.
  • Using statistical analysis to identify and evaluate issues and areas for improvement.
  • Working with operations teams to create solutions and streamline business systems and processes.
  • Examine existing business processes, procedures, and systems to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Recommending automation, restructuring workflows, or introducing new technologies.
  • Gather and analyse data related to finance in operations, such as production metrics, inventory levels, or customer service statistics, to derive insights and inform decision-making.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the performance of operational processes in finance and initiatives to ensure they meet organizational goals and standards.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the organization by encouraging feedback, monitoring trends, and implementing best practices.
