Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of accounting and/or budgeting experience.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills and attention to detail, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree.

Responsibilities:

The primary purpose of this position is to enhance and maintain the university’s budgeting and financial planning processes through the effective implementation and management of Anaplan software. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to customize and test budgeting modules, ensuring they align with organizational objectives while providing training and support to users. Additionally, the position oversees university-wide budget monitoring and fund balance reporting, preparing executive summaries for leadership and assisting departments with budget management. It also encompasses the management of the position control process, ensuring compliance with financial practices, and conducting variance analysis across all fund types to address budget issues and inform financial auditors and management. By integrating these responsibilities, the position contributes significantly to the university’s financial health and strategic planning efforts.
