Description:
The SRS Fingerprint Specialist/Application Assistant works under the Safe Release Program to provide accurate fingerprinting as needed for sponsors of unaccompanied minors to attain family reunification. Provides assistance in completing a variety of immigration applications. This position will report to Program Coordinator or Supervisor.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Two years of college required. Education can be substituted with three years of related experience and High School diploma.
KNOWLEDGE:
- General knowledge of Digital Fingerprinting techniques.
- Knowledge of IRR internal procedures and processes preferred.
- Knowledge of community/public resources preferred.
- Knowledge of general office work and acceptable conduct.
- Knowledge of Catholic Charities’ policies, procedures, and organization.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Able to translate documents from/to English/Spanish.
- Effective client service skills.
- Maintain high level of confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate and orderly records and files.
- Communicate effectively in writing and oral form.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Perform data entry work.
- Type at a speed sufficient to meet position requirements.
- Scan and photocopy.
- Operate standard office equipment and a computer.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts, validates and submits fingerprints electronically per SRS procedural guidelines.
- Accurately documenting client information and completes intake forms and applications as assigned.
- Attends and successfully completes all assigned training.
- Completing assigned tasks accurately and within stated timeframes.
- Receives phone calls from potential clients and schedules appointments.
- Conveys essential information to clients on behalf of the program clearly and accurately..
- Maintaining client records as assigned.
- Quickly and accurately updating client records in data system(s) as assigned.
- Performing general office administrative/clerical work (scanning/filing/copying).
- Provides routine information and assistance on applications for benefits.
- Manages all administrative responsibilities in the office.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
