Description:

We’re are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Finishing Foreman to lead a large residential development set to last 5+ years in Port Laois. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of high-spec internals, managing the site team, ensuring project milestones are met, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience on large-scale construction projects, with a focus on high-spec internal finishes.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills, capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
  • Familiarity with construction software and project management tools.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Commitment to safety and quality excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of subcontractors, tradespeople, and on-site staff, ensuring clear communication, collaboration, and adherence to project objectives.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule, monitor progress against milestones, and take proactive measures to address any delays or issues that arise.
  • Enforce strict quality control measures to ensure that all work meets or exceeds project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Project/Site Managers to monitor project expenses, track costs, and implement cost-effective solutions to stay within budget.
  • Champion a strong safety culture on the construction site, implementing and enforcing all relevant health and safety protocols and regulations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the client, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to the project timeline and budget.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment, optimizing resource allocation and minimizing downtime.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, change orders, and other relevant records.
  • Drive the timely completion of snagging items, ensuring a high-quality final deliverable to the client
  • Address unexpected challenges and deviations from the project plan promptly and effectively
