Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for cutting/rewinding and inspecting seamed material according to the customers’ specifications and quality expectations.

  • Execute jobs according to production schedule and the job ticket.
  • Review job order and analyze the product that is to be set up for cutting/rewinding and inspecting.
  • Questions and verifies information on the job ticket when necessary
  • Set up equipment in accordance with job specification
  • Operates machine (cutter, Inspecting and Slitter) and conducts visual inspection throughout cutting or rewinding and stops as necessary to remove sleeves with imperfections.
  • Take client samples as written on the ticket and place in an envelope.
  • Take extra sleeves for quality control and place in the job ticket envelope.
  • Prepare boxes for packaging finished goods. Package rolls or cut sleeves according to customer’s instruction and place on skids.
  • Completes required paperwork specific to the job.
  • Prepares completed finished product by affixing appropriate labels.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the work area by returning cores to bins, sweeping up around the machine, disposing of garbage and ensure everything is tidy before leaving for the day.
  • Learn other finishing equipment.
  • Arrive on time and punch into the clock in accordance with company procedure.
  • Performs other production related work assignment(s) as requested by production management or designate.
