REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.
  • 1-3 years of experience in economic, management, accounting, or administrative roles, 3-5 years would be preferable;
  • Strong analytical and technical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel/GoogleSheets; familiarity with SQL, Python, JavaScript, or other coding languages is a plus.
  • Fluent in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
  • Availability for hybrid work regime and willingness to travel (once every quarter, to London UK, for in-person meetings with the rest of the team).

Responsibilities:

  • Reconciliation and Reporting: Reconcile transactions between Mastercard®, Visa, banks, credit unions, and Optimus. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial processes.
  • Settlement and Payments: Manage settlement processing within the card payments system and oversee payments and liquidity management for daily settlements.
  • Data Management: Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure data accuracy. Maintain and verify databases, and support automation of manual processes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Compliance, Accounting, Business, and Product teams to support customer needs and ensure adherence to international regulations. Advise development teams on financial impacts related to platform changes.
  • Financial Risk and Documentation: Oversee financial risk assessment processes and create internal documentation on FinOps procedures. Research and propose new approaches, tools, and best practices.
  • Support and Confidentiality: Support the team via on-call schedule rotation and maintain confidentiality of financial information.
  • Support month-end close activities: including preparing journal entries and reconciling various balance sheet and income statement accounts, as well as handling other accounting ad hoc requests.
