About the Role (Job Summary):
We are looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Fintech Accountant to join our team and manage financial operations within the fast-paced fintech industry. This role involves leveraging accounting expertise and familiarity with financial technology to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, tax filings, financial analysis, and the efficient operation of our financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and reconcile digital payments, transactions, and financial records across multiple platforms, including blockchain or other financial technology systems.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting, providing insights based on financial data trends.
  • Ensure timely tax filings, reporting, and compliance with relevant financial regulations, including international standards if applicable.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate and optimize accounting systems with fintech platforms and tools.
  • Prepare documentation and liaise with internal and external auditors during financial audits.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Stay up-to-date with fintech regulations and ensure company practices align with legal requirements.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve accuracy through automation and technology.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) or working toward certification.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in fintech, financial services, or technology-driven industries.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and familiarity with fintech tools and platforms.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and tax regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling.

Preferred:

  • Experience with blockchain, digital payments, or cryptocurrency accounting.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as SOX, PCI DSS, or GDPR.
  • Analytical skills for managing large datasets and financial reports.
