Position Overview: The Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems. This role requires technical expertise in fire alarm systems, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients’ fire protection systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or in a similar role. Hands-on experience with fire alarm systems and related equipment.
• DCD & SCD card holders will be an added advantage
• Knowledge: Understanding of fire alarm systems, circuits, and components. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., NFPA).
• Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Proficient with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or training in fire alarm systems is preferred.
• Attributes: Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently. Good communication and customer service skills.

• Installation: Install fire alarm systems, including control panels, detectors, alarms, and notification devices, according to specifications and building codes.
• Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning properly and comply with relevant regulations.
• Repairs: Diagnose and repair faults or malfunctions in fire alarm systems. Replace or repair defective components and ensure systems are operational.
• System Upgrades: Upgrade and modify fire alarm systems as needed to enhance functionality or meet changing safety regulations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service activities, inspections, and repairs. Prepare detailed reports for clients and regulatory bodies as required.
• Compliance: Ensure all installations and maintenance work complies with national and local fire codes, regulations, and standards.
• Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service. Communicate clearly with clients to explain work performed, provide system operation training, and address any concerns.
