Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, adjustment, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, along with performing maintenance, calibration, and repairs on various electronic equipment, including business machines, video and audio devices, electronic instruments, and control systems. You will enjoy the security of a guaranteed 30 hours per week as you contribute to our mission.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Fire Alarm Systems: Proficiency in installing and inspecting various electronic fire alarm systems, including the ability to diagnose and rectify faults.
System Literacy: Capable of reading and comprehending plans and instructions for alarm systems.
Maintenance Expertise: Utilizing and applying knowledge of fire alarm systems in commissioning and maintaining these systems.
Electronics Maintenance: Competence in installing, maintaining, and repairing electronic equipment and systems, including audio and visual reproduction equipment, home entertainment systems, computers, and electronic security systems.
Diagnosis and Repair: Skilled at examining and testing machines, equipment, instruments, and control systems to identify faults, and proficient in adjusting, repairing, and replacing worn or defective parts and wiring.
Equipment Testing: Capable of reassembling, test operating, and adjusting equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
User Guidance: Able to provide advice to users on the correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions.
Communication: Skilled in receiving messages by interpreting code, converting them to plain language, and efficiently writing or typing messages for transmission.
Radio Communication: Proficient in monitoring radio traffic and transmitting and receiving voice messages effectively.
Control Systems: Competence in installing electronic instruments and control systems.
Technical Knowledge: Applying knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic principles in the commissioning and maintenance of control systems
Three years of relevant experience in the field.

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, adjustment, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, along with performing maintenance, calibration, and repairs on various electronic equipment, including business machines, video and audio devices, electronic instruments, and control systems.
Our client has multiple roles available across New Zealand. If candidates are required to travel between locations, accommodation and travel expenses will be provided to successful applicants if applicable. Minimum of 30 hours per week and shifts available up to 50 hours.
