Description
Due to recent, continued business growth, Master Protections Ltd are now looking to employ a new apprentice! The successful individual will get the opportunity to work for an established employer and will learn and grow to become a multi disciplined Fire and Security engineer.
You will study towards becoming a Fire and Security engineer who will be learning alongside experienced engineers to help you grow and succeed in the fire and security sector. You will be learning on the job, and will be supported from the beginning.
This is a field based role with classroom training once every 8 weeks on a block release system.
Duties include, but are not exclusive to (primarily fire, but also security:
- Installation of systems
- Maintenance of systems
- Repair of systems
- Commissioning and programming of systems
Entry requirements
DESIRED SKILLS/QUALITIES:
- You must hold a drivers license as this role will travelling to and from jobs and clients, some of which can be situated away far from public transport. Concessions can be made as long as you have a practical driver’s test booked.
- No criminal record and able to pass an enhanced DBS check
- Must be proactive and have a positive atittude towards learning
- Tool knowledge would be benefitial, but not essential
- Electrical knowledge would be benefitial, but not essential
- Technically minded
- Willing and eager to learn more about the job and the wider sector
- Ideally located within 10 miles of SE24 post code area
Training to be provided
Fire Emergency Security Systems Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training in block release at centre. You will attend centre one week every eight weeks.
You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gather any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.
You will be required to complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company require you to complete.
