Description
Due to continued recent growth, Firetronik are now looking to employ a brand new apprentice. The successful individual will get the opportunity to work for an established employer and will learn and grow to eventually become a multi disciplined engineer.
You will be training to be a Fire and Security Engineer, though primarily focussing on fire, you will be learning alongside experienced engineers to help you grow and succeed in the fire and security engineering sector.
You will be learning on the job and will be supported from the beginning by both the employer, and Skills for Security. This role will be both full time, with block training release to Watford.
You should be committed to developing new skills and gaining knowledge of the wider fire and security industry.
This is a field based role.
Entry requirements
DESIRED SKILLS/QUALITIES:
- A drivers license is ESSENTIAL for this role - please do not apply if you do not hold a full UK license
- 18+ due to nature of role
- Experience with electrics would be advantageous
- Experience with tools would be advantageous
- Good hand eye cooridination
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Decent physical fitness and comfortable working at high and low heights
- Ideally located within 5 miles of Haringey
Training to be provided
Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training in block release, focusssing particualrly on the ‘fire’ pathway.
You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gather any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.
You will be required to complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company require you to complete.
The skilled Firetronik team will provide on-the-job mentoring and coaching to aid your success.
Things to consider
This apprenticeship spans 36 months and requires full commitment to your training and development throughout.
Standard hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm, though this may vary depending on workload.
