WHAT ARE THE QUALITIES AND SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate will have:
· Proven experience of working as a Damper Technician
· Good understanding of mechanical and electrical fire systems design and industry regulations
· A Full UK driving licence.
· High attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
· The ability to read technical drawings, and be IT literate
· The understanding of the needs and implications of RAMS
· The ability to demonstrate a customer focused, proactive ‘can do’ attitude, flexible approach to working, and can work as part of a team
· An understanding and working knowledge of other disciplines within a multitask delivery service
· Problem solving & decision-making skills, along with self-discipline and the ability to use your own initiative
· The ability to act with professionalism and integrity

Responsibilities:
WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT IN YOUR DAY-TO-DAY ROLE?
As an experienced Fire Damper Technician, you will hold a key position within the company.
A Fire Damper Technician is a key role within the company assisting the Fire Damper Team to ensure fire damper system maintenance is carried out to the correct legislation which involves ensuring any remedial works are identified are reported and quotes generated.
You will lead on the assessment of fire safety issues and technical risks by the application of expert knowledge and understanding of UK fire safety legislation, Building Regulations and associated standards.

Our ideal candidate would ideally have the knowledge on/be trained on:
· Undertake all types of maintenance, repair, commissioning and service support to a range of smoke/fire dampers
· Responsible for fault finding, reporting and preparing quotes
· Install and replace all types of fire and smoke damper equipment according to the industry standards
· Identify faults and report findings
· Read and interpret technical drawings
· Site visits to inspect the property to determine if they meet the relevant specifications
· Prepare reports when requested using our systems
· Ensure high standards of productivity and workmanship are maintained in the execution of work
· A strong experience in fire safety fields.
· Very good interpersonal skills and demonstrable experience of developing and maintaining close links with colleagues, clients and contractors are essential.
· Be aware of appropriate legislation and design guidance for use in the UK
· Have the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, working to tight deadlines and juggling multiple demands.
THE ROLE LOCATION
This position requires nationwide travel to various sites across the UK. It is site-based in Nottingham, however there may be the need of a level of flexibility to accommodate week-long stays away from home on occasion. Additionally, our Head Office is located in Nottingham, and attendance at this office will be expected as needed throughout the year.
