Description:

Role: Fire Engineer
Locations: London | Cheltenham

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree in Fire Engineering or a related Engineering field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Fire Engineer within a consultancy.
  • Familiarity with regulatory controls and experience in developing fire-engineered design solutions in the built environment.
  • Working knowledge of ADB, BS 9999, and BS 9991.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare fire strategy reports and other relevant documentation as needed.
  • Review architectural drawings to assess fire strategy risks.
  • Means of Escape Analysis.
  • Execute Computational Evacuation Modelling Analysis.
  • Solve fire engineering calculations, including those related to radiant heat, smoke control, and occupant evacuations.
  • Be a great communicator, liaise with clients and the design team regarding fire strategies.
  • Understand and apply UK fire safety legislation and standards.
