Description:
LOCATION: LINCOLN, LN1 1YL (FLEXIBLE WORKING POSSIBLE)
Our client is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Compliance Manager to oversee fire safety compliance across a broad range of buildings that form the Lincolnshire County Council property portfolio.
This is a critical role in maintaining a safe environment for employees, students, and the public, ensuring adherence to fire safety legislation and best practices.
It will involve close liaison with the client’s Responsible Person for fire, line management of our Fire Risk Assessor and management of all fire related sub-contractors.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure full compliance with Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and the Building Safety Act 2022.
- Maintain fire safety compliance in line with BS 9999, BS 5839, and BS 5266 standards.
- Develop and implement fire risk management strategies in collaboration with council stakeholders.
- Oversee fire risk assessments (FRAs) and conduct periodic fire safety audits across the estate
- Ensure the proper maintenance and testing of fire alarms, sprinklers, fire doors, extinguishers, and passive fire protection systems.
- Lead investigations into fire safety incidents, ensuring findings are documented and lessons learned are applied.
- Provide detailed reports to senior council stakeholders and regulatory bodies as required.
