Description:

JOB OVERVIEW

  • A regional field based role the Senior Engineer will work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field service team, working closely with the Regional Service Manager and Service Desk to ensure best use of the field Engineering resource.
  • To support their assigned team of Engineers and act as first point of contact for technical assistance and day to day issues.
  • Ensure effective and efficient delivery of PPM, Reactive calls and additional Small Works within their regions.
  • To ensure compliance with all Legal and Regulatory requirements.
  • To support the business Service strategy and to deliver the required customer service and financial performance.

Responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES

  • Carry out PPM, reactive calls and Small Works on Fire & Security Systems within their region as required.
  • Monitor completion and attendance of certification to customers service level agreements.
  • Display a “can do attitude” with the ability to work independently.
  • Support the Service Desk to ensure Engineers attend sites and ensure good time-keeping and attendance of team.
  • Support the Regional Service Manager and Service Desk to ensure region is up to date with all relevant works.
  • Support the Regional Service Manger and service desk with the management of SLA’S, holidays and sickness.
  • Support the Regional Service Manager with the cascade of relevant company information and Toolbox talks.
  • Carry out individual Engineer Vehicle / PPE / safety equipment & calibration checks in line with company policies.
  • Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security of self, team and others.
  • Complete and track audits of Engineers for each discipline, and follow up on required actions.
  • Carry out all legitimate work issued by the Management of the Company.
  • To ensure compliance with the Company quality standards and safeguard the quality of operational delivery and to operate to the highest business standards, manage risk and protect the Mitie brandTo ensure the company operates in accordance within relevant Standards and Codes of Practice.
  • To lead compliance and implementation of Mitie values, principles, initiatives and governance requirements throughout the Regions.
  • Manage and maintain the OnCall rota.
  • Assisting the Regional Service Manager in the identification of mandatory and technical needs and delivery of training.
  • Follow the Companies Business Management System to achieve 100% compliance.
  • To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required.

  • Report any apparent deficiencies in systems of work or equipment provided that may result in failure of service delivery or risk to health and safety or the environment.
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.
  • Report any issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via your divisional incident reporting system.
