Our Fire Shop Technician will be responsible for completing and supporting inspection, testing and repair work related to fire protection and related equipment. Some of the additional expectations of this role include:

  • Inspecting, testing, and servicing fire extinguishers;
  • Inspecting and testing fire hoses;
  • Servicing life-saving appliances;
  • Ensuring timely and quality completion of work orders;
  • Completing daily reports of completed work orders and activities;
  • Monitoring parts inventory and equipment maintenance requirements;
  • Following all safe work practices and safety leadership is demonstrated in all aspects of the job; and
  • Participating in on-call/call out emergency service as required.

  • A valid Driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel to and work out of remote client sites. Overtime and overnight travel will be required; therefore, hours of work/schedule will vary.

Candidate must also possess the following experience and training credentials:

  • 1+ years experience in fire inspection or a related field would be preferred.
  • Note: Combinations of education in a related field and experience will be considered.
  • Note: Candidates who advance through the hiring process will be required to submit a current Certificate of Conduct and Driver’s abstract.
