The post holder will be working alongside twelve other administrators and will report directly to the Business Development & Compliance Manager.
The post is based at the department’s central hub in Monks Wood, Cambridgeshire. This is also a fixed site role not suitable for agile working, so the ability to travel to and work from Monks Wood is essential.

In addition to this, the ideal candidate will hit the ground running, possess a positive attitude and work with strong team ethics.
Proficient I.T skills and a good standard of written and verbal communication are essential in this role, due to the complex and bespoke software systems that are used on a daily basis.
Daily duties can include but are not limited to:
- High quality and accurate data entry maintaining various databases such as NFLMS and PNC.
- Interrogate computer systems, draw information, and make assessments on the findings for presentation to FEO’s and/or decision makers.
- Assess reports from FEO, update NFLMS and generate holders’ certificate.
- Review received payments and update the system as part of the departments finance.
- Deal with incoming enquiries both by phone and email.
- Providing a quality service to our customers and optimising the use of digital technology are paramount to our future vision of the Firearms Licensing Team.
The post holder will provide excellent customer service while managing a wide range of tasks and look for ways to improve the service we deliver. You may be required to occasionally travel across the Tri-force area-Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire.
