JOB DESCRIPTION

At Brno’s Thermo Fisher Scientific, we develop and manufacture electron microscopes and spectrometers. Our products participate in variety of material and life science applications and play key role in semiconductor industry. Our work helps to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. We are one of the largest producers of electron microscopes in the world, and we continue more than 70-year-old tradition.

QUALIFICATION:

• At the minimum bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent experience (2-3 years).
• Basic experience with FPGA design flow (VHDL/Verilog) and/or MCU design (C/C++). Ability to read electrical schematics is a plus.
• Familiarity with Linux OS, GIT and any scripting language (e.g. Python) is an advantage.
• Self-motivation to learn, adaptability and proactive approach in problem solving.
• Strong communication (verbal and written) and good interpersonal skills.
• Communication level of English.

• Support for variety of development and integration tasks performed by firmware and electronic groups in R&D.
• FW and HW test automation using modern methodologies & frameworks.
• Hands-on testing and debugging on microscope systems.
• Contributing to collaborative work environment with multi-functional development teams.
