We are excited to announce an opening for a Firmware Engineer in our R&D Department. As a Firmware Engineer, you will specialise in embedded firmware development, designing, developing, testing, and implementing firmware solutions for various embedded systems. The ideal candidate is a proficient engineer with a passion for hardware-software integration and solving complex problems.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Strong experience in software engineering processes and structures, with a focus on embedded firmware development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ for embedded systems.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture and hardware-software interaction.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and low-level device drivers.
- Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).
- Knowledge of debugging and testing tools for embedded systems.
ESSENTIAL AND DESIRABLE SKILLS:
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++ for embedded systems.
- Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture.
- Knowledge of GitHub for version control.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement firmware for embedded systems, ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Work alongside the internal development team to integrate firmware with hardware components and conduct thorough testing to ensure system functionality and stability.
- Create and maintain documentation for firmware designs, development processes, and testing procedures.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and project managers, to deliver high-quality embedded solutions.
- Provide feedback and analysis to management through ad hoc reporting and data analysis.
- Implement new processes and procedures related to firmware development and integration.
