First Engineer on Board (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities:
- Safely overseeing the engineering watch on the cruise vessel.
- Providing training, guidance, and supervision to subordinate crew members.
- Organizing and carrying out maintenance activities in accordance with PMS requirements for the assigned sub-department.
- Ensuring the safe operation, performance, and monitoring of all machinery and alarms in the engine control room (ECR), and reporting to the Staff Chief Engineer.
- Implementing and adhering to the Engine Resources Management (ERM) standard, both personally and with team members.
- Fulfilling ERM roles as specified by the standard.
- Taking responsibility for machinery equipment based on team assignments.
- Assisting in bunkering operations.
Your Profile:
- Possessing a valid national second engineer certificate of competency (COC III/2 unlimited) in accordance with STCW regulations.
- Having a minimum of two prior contracts in a similar position, preferably on cruise vessels.
- Demonstrating exceptional English language proficiency and strong communication skills.
- Showing motivation and a strong desire for personal and professional growth.
- Displaying a guest and service-oriented mindset, along with the ability to work well within a team, lead, and motivate others.
