Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Flightline Operations Manager (Level K) to join our team in Ridley Park, PA.
SECURITY CLEARANCE & EXPORT CONTROL REQUIREMENTS:
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 5 years minimum experience in Flight Operations
- Experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an operations environment.
- 5 years of experience working in a highly regulated manufacturing environment where compliance with policies and procedures is essential.
- Ability to work any shift.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- H-47 Experience and/or V-22 CCRAM
- Experience leading teams or work groups
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Ability to build safety awareness
- Experience with Continuous Improvement implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery.
- Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance.
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
