Description:

Shift Pattern/ Working Hours: Monday- Friday 14:00-22:00
The Role: As a First Line Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the warehouse floor, ensuring efficient and safe processes are followed to meet production targets and customer demands.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in warehouse operations, within a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software for inventory management and tracking.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
    Successful candidate(s) will be required to undergo a basic Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) Check

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of colleagues to operational success in ecommerce, pick and pack, pallets in/out operations
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Set daily and weekly KPIs and ensure that these are always being met with the aim of exceeding.
  • Liaise with the customer over queries and complete in a timely manner
  • Maximise productivity and improve quality in order to grow your team
  • Contribute to warehouse layout and workflow to maximise space utilisation and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments and resolve any logistical issues.
  • Maintain records of inventory, orders, and shipments, utilising warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Daily reporting to Senior Management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and build and streamline processes.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Lead HR requirements in relation to investigation, disciplinary, grievance and absence management
  • Lead by example, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence among warehouse staff.
