We’re looking for you to join our team as a Senior Manager, Indigenous Client Services, in Prince George, BC.
As the Senior Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with First Nations clients and Indigenous-led organizations, providing expert guidance on tax planning, compliance, and exemption requirements, while building long-term relationships within Indigenous communities and stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
- Self-Identify as First Nations, Metis, or Inuit
- Strong oral/written communication skills
- Professional accounting designation with tax experience in public accounting
- In-depth knowledge of Indigenous culture, governance, treaties, reconciliation, and history in Canada
- Expertise in tax implications of the Indian Act, Section 149 exemptions, and structuring Indigenous businesses to preserve tax benefits
- Proficiency in trust and partnership taxation, as well as due diligence, M&A, and structuring Indigenous and non-Indigenous business relationships
- Strong people management, client service, and project management skills, with a focus on quality and client value
- Highly motivated, growth-oriented, and skilled in balancing priorities and mentoring others

Responsibilities:
- Lead client engagements in partnership with First Nations clients and Indigenous organizations.
- Collaborate on tax planning, compliance, due diligence, and M&A activities.
- Provide insights on tax exemptions under Section 87 of the Indian Act and Section 149 of the Income Tax Act.
- Review and guide the work of junior staff, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct and present tax research, advising on planning opportunities and compliance strategies.
- Mentor and support staff in their professional development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Indigenous clients in First Nations communities, businesses, and non-profit sectors.
