- Experience with entering and maintaining electronic records, and compiling data summaries, results, and reports.
- Familiarity with common data management software such as Microsoft Office products, and ArcGIS.
- Considerable knowledge of one or more Alaskan mammals including their behavior and habitats.
- Experience with conducting field work, including planning logistics, managing equipment and supplies, and collecting data in the field.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in inclement weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school graduation or the equivalent.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work may involve exposure to animals, insects, inclement weather, low level flying, traveling by boat or skiff, or contact with drugs or chemicals. Housing may consist of bunkhouses, vessels, or wall tents. Positions are often full-time but may be seasonal or temporary.

Responsibilities:
The Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G), Division of Wildlife Conservation is recruiting for a Fish and Wildlife Technician 4 for Southeast Alaska. This position is located in Juneau\Douglas, Alaska.
This Fish and Wildlife Technician 4 is needed for wolf research projects in Southeast Alaska. This position will assist a research team with a variety of projects including but not limited to processing trail camera data, managing biological samples, entering data into databases, and assisting staff biologists in creating reports and data summaries. This position can anticipate work in an office and lab setting with occasional field work to collect data and samples. This is an advanced-level position that requires independent judgment and creativity operating under the general direction of a supervisor.
