• Department: Fitness Center
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm. Rotating weekend coverage.
• Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent’s One Nineteen
• Location: Hoover, AL
  Fitness degree and a National Personal Training Certification is strongly preferred!

REQUIREMENTS

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American HeartAssociation or American Red Cross accepted. Required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Provide instruction on physical fitness as it relates to all aspects of general health and wellness.

• Design fitness programs for various patient populations.
• Organize and instruct exercise classes for all fitness levels. Ensure that all participants are properly trained on the use of the facility’s exercise equipment.
• Develop and market general health and wellness programs.
• Present educational lectures/programs throughout the community.
• Oversee and ensure appropriate use and maintenance of Fitness Center equipment.
