Balfour Beatty has an amazing opportunity for a Fitout Digital Design Interface Coordinator to join our amazing Major Projects team to work at our iconic Old Oak Common development in London.
HS2’s new c. £1 billion Old Oak Common station will become the UK’s best-connected rail station once completed. Our Balfour Beatty VINCI SYTRA joint venture will be responsible for the final design, construction, and commissioning of the station in Northwest London.
Upon completion, the new station will boast six underground platforms and up to eight platforms on the adjacent Great Western Main Line. Old Oak Common will also provide high speed rail services to the Midlands, central London, Scotland, and the North, as well as direct services to three major airports. Incorporating passenger and retail facilities, the new station will provide an exceptional customer experience for both passengers and visitors to the station.
As a Fitout Digital Design Interface Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating digital interfaces for Fitout Package Subcontractor designs and construction works. Assisting with the acceptance of the sub-contractors’ digital deliverables that are expected, resolve to resolve spatial and chronological coordination issues, identify clashes, and feed into and help produce 4D Synchro simulations.
The role includes the day-to-day coordination of the digital deliverables of the WP12 Fitout package subcontractors, digital interface management between WP12 subcontractors and project Digital Team, ensuring the digital assurance deliverables of the WP12 subcontractors. Chairing monthly BIM meetings to monitor progress with the respective Fit-Out works sub-contractors BIM and Design leads, reporting on progress and escalating identifiable concerns to the package management teams.
What you’ll be doing

OTHER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE

• Coordinate the monitoring and surveillance of digital interfaces for Fitout Package Subcontractor designs and construction works
• Resolve spatial and chronological coordination issues if necessary, by monitoring the sub-contractors clash detection reporting that will, identify Model clashes, and feed into and help produce 4D Synchro simulations.
• Day to day coordination tracking and reporting on the digital deliverables of Fitout package subcontractors
• Digital interface coordination between WP12 subcontractors and the wider project Digital Team and Information Management teams
• Ensure verify compliance of the digital assurance deliverables of the WP12 subcontractors to HS2/BBVS Works Information/ Requirements
