Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fitter/Fabricator to join our team. As a Fitter/Fabricator, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating metal components to create high-quality products. This is a full-time position that offers competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications
- Operate hand tools such as grinders, saws, and drills to prepare materials for welding
- Set up and operate welding equipment ( MIG)
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques to join metal components
- Conduct inspections to ensure welds meet quality standards
- Cut metal pieces as needed using plasma cutting and Oxy Fuel equipment
- Assist with material handling using forklifts or cranes when necessary
- Weld out of position
Qualifications:
- Five years of experience as a Welder/Fitter or similar role
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques and equipment operation
- Familiarity with hand tools and measuring instruments
- Ability to fabricate metal components according to specifications
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship
- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects
- Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety protocols
- PPE – Safety Boots and Welding helmet
- Able to reliable commute to plant L6X-2M1
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always.
Work Conditions
-Physical ability to lift to 50lb
-Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
-Extremely busy environment – must be able to work with little supervision
-Must be able to stay focused on the task at hand
-Hazards associated with the trade

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
