Fixed Asset Accountant

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in the Manufacturing industry in Geismar, Louisiana, United States for a Fixed Asset Accountant. The role involves managing accounting functions, implementing software systems, and handling fixed asset management in a dynamic workplace environment.

• Manage and execute fixed asset accounting and capitalization.
• Utilize Oracle accounting software systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for accurate record keeping.
• Perform auditing tasks to ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Implement accrual accounting methods for efficient financial management.
• Play a key role in the budget processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial planning.
• Oversee fixed asset management processes, ensuring assets are properly recorded, tracked, and depreciated.
• Handle the accounting functions, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
• Must possess profound knowledge of Accounting Software Systems, experience with Oracle is highly preferred
• Understanding of Fixed Asset Accounting is essential
• Prior experience in Auditing is required
• Proficiency in Budget Processes is needed
• Familiarity with Capitalization is a must
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
