Description:
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in the Manufacturing industry in Geismar, Louisiana, United States for a Fixed Asset Accountant. The role involves managing accounting functions, implementing software systems, and handling fixed asset management in a dynamic workplace environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute fixed asset accounting and capitalization.
- Utilize Oracle accounting software systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for accurate record keeping.
- Perform auditing tasks to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Implement accrual accounting methods for efficient financial management.
- Play a key role in the budget processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial planning.
- Oversee fixed asset management processes, ensuring assets are properly recorded, tracked, and depreciated.
- Handle the accounting functions, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
- Must possess profound knowledge of Accounting Software Systems, experience with Oracle is highly preferred
- Understanding of Fixed Asset Accounting is essential
- Prior experience in Auditing is required
- Proficiency in Budget Processes is needed
- Familiarity with Capitalization is a must
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
