Rainy River Mine
Situated in beautiful northwestern Ontario, 65 km northwest of Fort Frances, the Rainy River Mine is an open pit, gold and silver producing, residential mine site.
The Rainy River Mine, located adjacent to the Ontario / Minnesota border is 65 Kilometers northwest of Fort Frances, Ontario and is situated half way between Winnipeg, Manitoba and Thunder Bay, Ontario The area is home to more than 130 species of birds and large populations of moose, black bear and deer. If you enjoy outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, winter sports and lake country then this is an area you will love to live and work in.

About The Role
Position: Fixed Plant Maintenance Labourer
Schedule: Shift 7/7 – 12 hour days
Position Reports To: Mill Maintenance Supervisor
Position Overview
We are currently seeking a dedicated and hard working individual to join our team as a Fixed Plant Maintenance Labourer within the Mill department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper Mill Maintenance protocols are followed with various tasks within the Mill and ensuring a safe work environment. This is an entry level position, no prior Mill Maintenance experience is needed. The successful applicant will receive on the job training to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge required for the position. This is a temporary 3-month contract with the potential for a full-time opportunity based on the candidate’s attendance, positive work attitude and willingness to learn.
- Preference will be given to local residents of the Rainy River district.
Key Responsibilities
Maintaining various Mill areas in a safe and orderly fashion
Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a clean and orderly manner
Performing routine and daily inspections of applicable equipment
Assisting team in maintenance practices and procedures
Adhering to all safety protocols
Other relevant duties as assigned
Qualifications
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Physically fit with the ability to work in conditions that are exposed to the elements
Good attention to detail
Good mechanical aptitude
Valid Driver’s license
