Description:

Job Summary
Works independently and within project teams to create, duplicate, or modify current selling flavors to improve profitability, support on-time delivery, and ensure regulatory/quality compliance. Mentors junior talent in the organization.

Responsibilities/Description:

  • Expert in raw materials and flavor creation techniques
  • Competent in flavor creation for specific technologies/delivery systems
  • Provides Flavorist input into Category initiatives and Innovation Programs
  • Fully networked within the regional technical community
  • Actively pursues archiving of unused ingredients
  • Engages freely with R&D/IP in commercial flavor development
  • Utilizes technologies and knowledge from Re-imagine platforms regularly
  • Proactively evaluates and determines value of new and unique materials
  • Provides Flavorist input into Category initiatives and Re-imagine platforms
  • Active participation with Portfolio Design as creative support (filling gaps, formula revisions, etc.)
  • Actively assists Operations to solve raw materials and manufacturing problems
  • Actively support Category/IP initiatives
  • Independently interacts with various internal departments to resolve issues and complete projects

Requirements:

  • Minimum entry level is a science degree (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, etc.), preferably a Master’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Food Engineering and/or Chemistry Engineering.
