JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fleet Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet vehicles and heavy equipment. This role requires a strong background in automotive repair, proficiency with power and hand tools, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. The Fleet Technician will ensure that all equipment is operating efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in automotive repair or a related field is essential.
  • Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment operation is required.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the workday. .
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing mechanical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn new techniques and stay updated on industry best practices.
  • Valid Alberta Drivers License

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 Fleet Mechanic Experience
  • Completion of High School Diploma

    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including oil changes, greasing, light repairs and minor repairs.
  • Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to diagnose issues and complete repairs.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely while performing necessary repairs or maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate.
  • Assemble and disassemble components as needed for repairs or replacements.
  • Execute heavy lifting tasks in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed on all fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to safety standards.
