Description:

Reporting to the Director of Purchased Services, the Fleet Manager is a critical role for the success of the Corporate Fleet at Traditions Health, ensuring that value is delivered to the Executive Team and Patient Care field staff members. This position works closely with the operations teams, external third-party vendors; and continuously seeks to improve processes within the Corporate Fleet Program. Developing and managing processes of fleet inventory and cost containment.

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline strongly preferred;
  • Alternative education with relevant work experience may be considered.

Experience:

  • 5+ year of prior fleet experience is required

Transportation: Reliable transportation and valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Previous experience in working with web-based fleet management systems (preferred) Holman, Element, Wheels, Fleetio, or other.
  • Analytical skills Ability to work within processes or develop more efficient frameworks.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Proficiency in Outlook and Excel is required
  • Must be flexible to handle multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Highly detail oriented with demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Requires good decision and problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills with prior customer service experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage all fleet activities, including sourcing, asset tracking, asset purchases, asset disposals, and oversight on all maintenance activities.
  • Manage the purchase or lease of equipment including specs, sourcing, negotiation, and supplier selection.
  • Evaluate existing and source new national, regional, and local sourcing programs to cut cost, reduce downtime and improve service levels.
  • Enhance the asset management function through effective utilization monitoring and timely repositioning and disposal of surplus assets.
  • Drive cost savings through operational control, best practices, and asset utilization.
  • Develop and manage key vendor relationships to ensure availability of critical equipment materials and uninterrupted supply.
  • Facilitate vehicle assignment to personnel, maintain data within Fleet Management Software, communicate vehicle availability to team members.
  • Preparation and submission of adequate management reports.
  • Responsible for the reporting, tracking and monthly updates to the online lease asset management system.
  • Provides coaching and support to other team members through instruction, demonstration, and practice.
  • Be service-oriented with a positive attitude, interest in learning, technically-savvy and flexible;
  • Manage high volume of daily tasks
  • Keep confidential all information received
  • Ensure prompt handling of required tasks
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
