Our dedicated and high performing team offers whole-of-life vehicle and mobile plant management, from procurement, lease management, and disposal, to scheduled and unscheduled servicing, maintenance, and defect management.
As Fleet Manager you will use your effective management and strategic leadership to drive operational excellence within your delivery portfolio. You will form robust relationships with key (internal) customers and the wider Fleet team to promote Fleet services, ensure optimal performance of assets and return on investment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maximising fleet utilisation by providing informed advice and support to customers
- Foster a strong culture of safety and compliance
- Collaborating with Senior Management to align fleet operations with strategic goals and lead change initiatives
- Developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships through developing a deep understanding of the customer base and providing regular updates to Senior Management.
Perform regular review of asset performance; identify improvement opportunities and manage maintenance schedules to minimise downtimeUsing Data insights for operational optimisation
In this key role within our Fleet Delivery team, you will be based from our Main South Road depot in Dunedin however your responsibility will stretch across the Otago/Southland regions therefore flexibility to travel and stay away from home is required.

To be successful in this role, you will have a high-level of people and project management experience, ideally in a fast-paced environment and working with multi-functional teams across the business. In-depth knowledge of fleet management principles, asset lifecycle management, and maintenance best practices will be advantageous. You will also have:
- Excellent relationship building skills with the ability to positively engage and influence peers and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business development, and successfully implementing process improvements.
- A solid understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental regulations and best practices
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, influence and empower others.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions.The ability to travel and stay away from home as required.
