Trim Landscaping is continually growing and are looking to fill a Fleet Manager position operating primarily out of Bedford, NS.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Min 4 years spent working on and maintaining equipment/vehicles
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in fleet management or a related
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer and software usage
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards.
- Flexible hours in winter months to support winter oprations
Responsibilities:
- Manage maintenance program for all equipment of Trim Landscaping and Citadel Fence.
- Read and Interpret owner, operator, and manufacturer operating manuals and service specifications to complete the job tasks.
- Test, diagnose, and repair vehicles & equipment including dump trucks, excavators, heavy trucks, and other construction equipment.
- Complete all repairs to high standards of safety
- Ensure all equipment’s is safe on a day-to-day basis.
- Schedule and conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections
- Work in collaboration with various crews to minimize equipment downtime and schedule work in accordance with jobsite work schedule as best as possible.
- Work with operations manager and crew leader to ensure all vehicles/ trailers meet vehicle compliance regulations and carry appropriate paperwork.
- Traveling to sites for maintenance in Bedford, Charlottetown, and Moncton (primarily based in Bedford).
- Liaise with suppliers to order any required parts and maintain inventory.
- Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in shop
- Complete maintenance reports, work orders, Po and any other required paperwork.
- Assist with employee training on daily inspections, care, and proper use of vehicles and equipment’s as required.
- Comply with all company policies and regulations.
- Monitor fleet performance metrics and generate reports
- Monitor/install GPS trackers to each asset as required
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior management.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers.
