Description:

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage the King Faisal Air Academy (KFAA) Strategic Fleet planning capability to ensure optimum availability of Cirrus and PC21 fleets, including task management of the KFAA fleet planning team.
  • Perform scenario modelling and analysis through the use of IT tools 1nclud1ng Miro GOLDesp, and Fleet Modelling tools specifically WITNESS, to develop strategic and tactical plans for appropriate authorization, distribution, review and archiving.
  • Monitor and report maintenance scheduling effectiveness and compliance against approved fleet plans, through liaison with stakeholders and agreeing and implementing recovery action when appropriate.
  • Ensure scheduled maintenance, modification programmes, Aircraft Maintenance Programme (AMP) changes and operational requirements are collated, prioritised and scheduled effectively.
  • Implement and maintain a robust Statement of Work (SoW) process for scheduled maintenance requirements, delivered through Pre Input Review Meetings (PIRM) and Post Output Review Meetings (PORM).
  • Manage maintenance scheduling effectiveness and compliance against approved fleet plans, through liaison with stakeholders and agreeing and implementing recovery action when appropriate.
  • Manage flying rate adherence, Flying Hour (FH) and Fatigue Index (FI), across the KFAA fleets to effectively manage airframe life consumption.
  • Manage fleet spares through analysis and modelling to develop recommendations as to the appropriate spares disposition configuration standard mix within the stock holdings, to reflect aircraft configuration standards and fleet size changes.
  • Provide SME support to the KFAA Fleet Planning Team, Aircraft Record Team and Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) to deliver the O&AT Contract and Fleet Planning Service.
  • Develop, implement and maintain fleet planning and aircraft records Processes & Procedures at KFAA.
  • Review draft Technical Instructions (TCTO, SB, etc.) m order to assess impact on the fleet and recommend effective embodiment strategy for endorsement.
  • Review draft Reliability reports and recommendations in order determine recovery actions, or initiate further 1nvestioation, to minimise the impact on O&AT business.
  • Actively support the development of Saudi National expertise in fleet management & Aircraft Records through coaching, work experience & mentoring as appropriate.
  • Manage the Fleet Planning element of the MDAL input/recommendations and provide recommendations to support Bid activities.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coach and mentor personnel as necessary to support their development.
  • Deputise in periods of absence for the O&AT Fleet Manager and KFAB managers, as required.
  • Instigate and manage regular “Lessons Learned” reviews and apply the outcomes to future forums.
  • Proactively manage own Personal Development Report (PDR).

Responsibilities:

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The job holder will perform strategic fleet planning and maintenance tasking within the fleet planning section of the Officer and Aircrew Training (O&AT) at KFAA Riyadh, KSA, in accordance with joint BAE Systems and RSAF fleet planning and mandatory Continuing Airworthiness (CA) requirements.
