Description:
Flow Controller
The Import & Export Planning Team has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate individual to fill a full-time position assuming the role of Flow Controller. This position would be part of the team responsible for managing orders for products manufactured in NAM and exported to various regions plus the management of supplier from overseas to import finished products to Canada. You would also be responsible for working closely with project managers, customers, operations, suppliers, transportation, and business development to improve E2E lead-times, reduce backlogs, maintain data accuracy, on time delivery, and reduce the number of reschedules. Within this role you will also be working on process improvement projects to increase customer satisfaction. Essential Job Responsibilities: • Working closely with project managers to understand customer demands • Maintain a good working relationship with IG customers and suppliers to provide updates and manage their r equirements • Manage, coordinate, and expedite orders with plants • Managing lines within our systems to update logistical requirements and maintain promise date accuracy • Working closely with shipping teams and export logistics team to ensure shipments are arranged accordingly • Working closely with transportation control tower as needed to ensure shipments are processed • Investigate and process discrepancies and claims • Use tools available to analyze and take action on open orders • Improve on time delivery, number of reschedules, backlog and customer satisfaction • Manage various requests (expedites, cancellations, changes, etc.) through BFO CR’s to provide resolution. Improve response time, quality of answer and customer satisfaction overall • Arrange for SIMs with accounts and plants as required • Process improvement projects • Assist with colleagues’ tasks and provide backup support as needed
