Fluid System Development Engineer

Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run.
As a talented Fluid System Development Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, procurement, testing, verification, and validation of our propulsion fluid system.

In your capacity as a Fluid System Development Engineer, your role will be continuously evolving, but day to day your responsibilities will include:

• Owning the design, development, procurement, integration, and testing of a flight liquid propulsion fluid system, from the propellant tanks to the thruster valves.
• Providing technical leadership to mechanical engineers and analysts to tackle our most challenging problems in propellant management and taking the design from preliminary to critical.
• Collaborating with Assembly, Integration and Test Engineers to develop processes and procedures for integrating the fluid subsystem into the spacecraft.
• Planning and executing the Verification and Validation plan for the fluid subsystem, including analysis and test campaigns to verify subsystem performance and requirements compliance.
• Leading analysis tasks using advanced simulation tools and mentoring other fluid analysts and functional engineers to select appropriate methodologies, assumptions, and data processing methods.
