Description:

We are seeking a Fluids Analyst (Thermal Desktop for Tank and TVS) for a 6+ month contract role! This will be a remote position. ONLY U.S. CITIZENS OR PERMANENT RESIDENTS WILL BE CONSIDERED - Must be able to work on W2

JOB DESCRIPTION

As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will be responsible for developing the models and performing analysis of an integrated fuel cell, balance of plant, and individual components. These models will be used to accelerate development activities, conduct detailed analyses, verify requirements, and explore trade spaces.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, or related technical subject areas
  • 2-5+ years of relevant Thermal or Fluids analysis experience in Aerospace, Automotive, or another relevant industry
  • Sound fundamentals in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and physics-based mathematical models
  • Ability to read, understand, and use Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for performing calculations for compressible, incompressible, and two-phase systems
  • Work collaboratively in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment while demonstrating personal leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Responsibilities:

  • Work in the Lunar Permanence Fuel Cell team performing Thermal and Fluid analysis on components and integrated systems
  • Develop and validate fuel cell stack and balance of plant thermal and/or fluid models using Thermal Desktop, FloCAD, and MATLAB Simulink
  • Support the development of low and high-fidelity stack, component, pipe, and manifold models
  • Communicate analysis results to customers to inform design decisions and ensure requirements are met
  • Work closely with design engineers to ensure model accuracy and recommend design improvements
