Description:

We are looking for a skilled Flusher Operator to join our team. The Flusher Operator will be responsible for operating a Combo Sewer Cleaner used to clean and flush sewer and stormwater pipelines in conjunction with camera inspection work. This role plays a vital part in our pipeline assessment efforts, ensuring that pipes are cleared for accurate inspections and that the infrastructure remains functioning efficiently. Membership in Liuna Local 183 is required, and non-members will need to join. A valid DZ driver’s license is also required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a Flusher Operator or in a similar role within the sewer and watermain construction industry.
  • Ability to operate the Combo Sewer Cleaner safely and effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of pipeline maintenance procedures and high-pressure water jetting.
  • Experience working in conjunction with camera inspection teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good physical stamina and the ability to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in construction and wastewater management.
  • Valid DZ driver’s license required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate the Combo Sewer Cleaner to clean and clear pipes, drains, and other sewer infrastructure prior to or during camera inspection work.
  • Perform high-pressure water flushing to remove debris, sediment, and blockages, ensuring the pipeline is clear for accurate CCTV inspections.
  • Monitor and control water flow and pressure to ensure effective and safe flushing operations.
  • Assist in the preparation and setup of job sites, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Perform routine inspections of work areas to identify potential issues or hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including the time, location, and specifics of the flushing activities.
  • Collaborate with camera technicians and other team members to ensure smooth operations and efficient project completion.
  • Follow safety guidelines and adhere to all environmental regulations regarding wastewater disposal.
  • Must maintain membership in Liuna Local 183, (non-members will need to join).
